If you are looking for something extra special and atmospheric for your D&D character, look no further! Garrett Rose of The Bardic Inspiration has just the thing for you!

The Bardic Inspiration makes custom music for RPG characters, adventuring groups, and even D&D podcasts! You can commission a theme song for your character so that each time they take the battlefield or prepare for an important RP conversation, your DM has just the thing to set the mood.

Players, if you’re looking for a special gift for your DM or, DMs, vice versa, character-specific music is unique and memorable. And while these songs work great in larger groups, we think that a theme song is particularly fitting for a PC or DMPC in a duet as there tend to be fewer characters and the player’s character drives the narrative.

Types of Custom Tracks Available

Garrett has several different types of tracks that you can commission, though I’m also sure he’d be happy to put something together just for you!

  • Combat
  • Exploration
  • Dungeon
  • Social/Town
  • Main Theme Music
  • Loopable Theme

A Gorgeous Sample

Garrett and I got in touch a few weeks back, and he very kindly agreed to make a sample song for my PC, Iellieth, so you could hear an example!

Iellieth is a half-elf noble raised among humans who stayed on the outskirts of high-class society. Instead, she dedicated her time to the study of dance and languages and perhaps a bit of ranger-y combat as well. Once she was on her own out in the wider world, she met a conclave of druids and joined their circle, and she’s been traveling around Azuria with her companions ever since.

Garrett did such an amazing job capturing Iellieth’s sweet spirit while simultaneously expressing her past and present. I love how the song builds as it goes, and the instrumentation for her is perfect. The song works beautifully all by itself or on repeat as well!

If you’d like to get in touch with Garrett about commissioning a song, you can send him an email, answer a few questions about your character, and then be set with a gorgeous melody!

I was so thrilled with what he was able to put together off of a few details from me, and I love incorporating Iellieth’s Theme into our game.

You can also check out more of Garrett’s work on his YouTube channel to sample a few different types of tracks!
