Tales of Eldura is a one-on-one adaptation of Descent into Avernus set in our homebrew world of Eldura. You can catch the livestream on our Twitch channel on Fridays at 7pm ET!

If you missed session one, you can find the recap and replay here!

Session Recap

In session two of Tales of Eldura, Garreth and Tessina make their way to the bathhouse near the Inner Ring of Respite to find where the cultists took Evelyn Ryder. On the way, Garreth calls out to the spirit of Melina, his wife, to aid him and help him connect with Vulcan’s power.

Once they arrive, they encounter an imp waiting outside who promises to fetch Evelyn if they’ll leave afterward. Garreth agrees and, just on the edge of his five-minute limit, the imp emerges with an injured Brightlands fae.

Garreth and Tessina help Evelyn outside, and she explains that there are others beneath the bathhouse who are in danger…if they’re still alive at all. Evelyn’s body is covered in strange cuts, and she’s unable to use her magic. though she’s not sure why.

What Evelyn is sure of, however, is that they should invade the bathhouse to destroy the cultists who have been capturing refugees and holding them captive inside.

The party raids the bathhouse, encountering the first wave of cultists—three reapers and one necromancer—just beyond the doors. They venture through the first two sets of tunnels, those belonging to Xarmev, the god of undeath, and Braemorn, the god of murder, and uncover several more followers of the dark deities and several of their victims.

Frustrated by the evil he’s seen in the tunnels, Garreth attempts to break the stone depiction of Braemorn he finds above an altar to the god of murder. Evelyn sees this and cautions him—the dark gods are present in these cursed tunnels, and desecrating their spaces is dangerous.

In searching the tunnels, Garreth came across a particularly upsetting sight, a murdered healer from the Army of Light, the same force his son serves with in Beacon. A cold jolt of fear ran through him—would he come upon Patrick’s body somewhere in the winding tunnels?

Our second session stopped with Garreth preparing to venture through the last of the three doors into the halls of Reka, the god of lies, trickery, and deceit.
