Looking Back on Our First Year

January 1st, 2019 was the day we officially launched D&D Duet. This past year has been one of continual surprise and so much joy.

First, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all of your love and support this year.

We set out with the goal of helping people play D&D one-on-one. We had no idea about all the friends and connections would make or the amazing community who would come to mean so much to us.

Each time we turned around, something new and wonderful happened. We received so much great feedback and enthusiasm for our first adventure which would go on to become part of the Crystalline Curse Trilogy, three platinum bestselling adventures on DMsGuild.

Later in the year, we continued to add adventures and got to work with some of our favorite creators in the D&D world. We launched a Patreon to be able to connect with readers on a deeper level and began working towards a full duet campaign book.

But we keep coming back to the community that’s grown here, of people playing one-on-one D&D, using storytelling to connect more deeply with friends, partners, and children.

You’re why we do what we do, and being able to talk and engage with you this past year has been absolutely incredible.

We have some amazing projects lined up for the next year including a secret project with one of our favorite content creators, so stay tuned for those updates.

2019 was unbelievable, and we feel so blessed to have been able to join alongside you and talk about one-on-one D&D.

Here’s to all the years to come, especially 2020. May you roll double nat-20s each time, advantage, disadvantage, or extra attack.
