Hook and Chance: A Podcast Interview

October 10, 2019 by Jonathan Leave a Comment

Beth and I had an amazing time talking all things one-on-one D&D with the terrific folks of the Hook and Chance podcast. Our discussion ranged from practical advice about how to get started playing a duet and what makes this kind of intimate play so special to Dungeons and Dragons tattoos and the creation of married NPCs.

Travis, Jordan, and Rumer are incredibly professional and personable. The quality of their interview skills are only rivaled by the awesome editing and production work that makes for high-quality podcasts. In a world full of awesome Dungeons and Dragons podcasts, Hook and Chance stands out with their emphasis on practical takeaways, probing questions, and quality audio.

Each episode of the Hook and Chance podcast is broken into distinct segments by awesome soundbeds announcing the shift in focus. The podcast has tons to offer from interviews with D&D luminaries like Keith Ammann, world building and mechanics tips and advice, and explorations of spells, monsters, and player races. The thread weaving together all of these disparate subjects is the brothers’ close relationship and their shared passion for Dungeons and Dragons.

We had an awesome time speaking with the Hook and Chance team, and we hope you’ll get a kick out of the episode. Check out their podcast and then pop over to their Patreon where you can pick up the cool additional materials they craft including the two of us as whacky NPCs that you can drop into your game!
