A Winter Holiday Adventure

for duets and small parties!

This one-shot adventure is fun and light-hearted and brings together several of our favorite Christmas-y narratives and other winter-y goodness.

Steal gifts! Fight Reindeer! Save the holidays!

In There’s Snow Place Like Home,* you’ll arrive in the snowy demiplane of Cheerington and awaken the nearby gnomish town before traveling to the top of Mount Merryberry to find Count Cringle.

Just watch out for rabid reindeer along the way…

Inside Castle Cringle, you’ll take on the dreaded devil Belsnickel and save Cheerington from his corrupting grasp in this fun-filled adventure for parties of two or small groups level 4-5.

Inside you’ll find:

  • A one-shot adventure involving roleplay, exploration, and combat!
  • 4 new festive creatures!
  • 2 maps ready for print or import!
  • 6 exciting new magical items to give to your players!

This adventure also has lots of fun mechanics like mistletoe and corrupting coal!

Flexibility for all sorts of parties

In addition to taking your party to a festive demiplane for a unique seasonal adventure, this adventure is also a perfect side narrative to try out one-on-one play for the first time or even to introduce someone new to D&D!

There are adventure hooks to take you from Waterdeep to Cheerington and, with a devil on the loose in Cringle’s domain, you have a perfect hook for a duet off-shoot from Avernus as well!

Last Christmas…

This time last year, we had a few posts, like D&D for Two, ready for the launch of this website which we’d set for January 1st of the new year.

Jonathan got really excited about an idea he had for my PC, Iellieth, to be able to steal and save Christmas. And out of that, with an eye to sharing it with you a year later, There’s Snow Place Like Home was born!

We of course had no idea how wonderful everyone would be about our blog and how many other people would want a space to talk about one-on-one D&D.

But we did set ourselves up for a fun adventure!

I put on an Epic Christmas playlist on Spotify, and we used the burning yule log on Netflix for ambiance. We taped our laminated poster-board with squares to the coffee table, and we were ready to go!

This adventure is really special to us, and it’s such a joy to have it ready and finally be able to share it with each of you!

We can’t wait to hear what you think of this adventure! Please leave us a review and let us know what you think!
