Five duet adventures for level 3 through level 6
Part one of the Land of Vampires campaign
Step through the portal and into a dark land teeming with vampires, fae, werewolves, and more!
Adventure Description
Several thousand years ago, the land of Steymhorod disappeared from the surface of Eldura. What had once been a mountainous region with fragrant springs, moderate summers, and colorful falls descended into the Shadowlands, its borders separated from the rest of the plane by impenetrable mist. At all times, Steymhorod remains under gray clouds, lit only by weak sunlight even at the brightest times of day. The forests remain on the cusp between autumn and winter, a state of living death. And over the land, a dark vampire lord, Draego, rules.
The adventure opens with the PC (or party) arriving in Steymhorod disoriented and confused, hunting an escaped vampire. Fortunately, they encounter an elderly gentleman that points them in the direction of safety… Unfortunately, they are set upon by zombies and forced to flee even as night descends.
A lukewarm welcome greets the party in the small settlement of Willowhold, a town beset by sickness and suspicion. As the adventurers try to intervene, they’ll need to counter the power of the Witchwood and its denizens and then travel to the walled city of St. Sebastian in an attempt to forge further alliances for their quest.

Mark says
Hi there – we just finished up Land of the Vampires and really enjoyed it. Any ideas on when Part Two might drop? We’re already ready to press ahead
Beth says
Hi Mark,
I’m so glad you enjoyed Land of Vampires!!! We’re having so much fun creating the adventures, and it’s great to hear that playing them is going well too!
At the moment, we’re expecting to finish Part Two in March though of course we hope to complete it sooner than that. The other option to access it between now and then would be to join our Patreon where we release one chapter each month. Part Two opens things up in Steymhorod, so we’re setting it up more as adventure nodes (based on location and PC’s priorities) as opposed to the linear structure of Part One.
I’m sorry we don’t have something more immediately for you! Oh, but the other thing you could do, if you haven’t played them yet, would be to shift around the location of two of our DMsGuild adventures, In the Heart of the Forest and Totems of the Svalich Woods to Steymhorod.
Thanks so much!
– Beth
Bob says
Hey, I just purchased this for my partner and I. I was just wondering if there were any specific character sheets for this story, and if there was any way to play as a Fae?
Beth says
Hi Bob,
We don’t have character sheets for this adventure, though the adventure does include two unique character backgrounds in the appendix! And you can definitely play as a fae! Part of the campaign takes place in the fae realm of Steymhorod, The Green Vale. We also have background information on the fae of Azuria that’s available for our patrons right now that we’ll share more widely when we’ve compiled a world guide for Azuria.
If you’d like it sooner, send me an email through our contact page, and I’ll be able to respond more specifically to what you’re looking for! https://dndduet.com/contact-us/
All the best,
– Beth
